A FREE TIBET
By Phil Roberts
There’s a dream that righteous people have
A hope one day they’ll see,
China surrender its immoral control
So Tibet can, at last, be free.
It’s a hope that decent people have
To see the Chinese gone,
From the country that they dominate
So that justice can be done.
It’s a wish that every good man has
To see Tibet as a democracy,
Without the yoke of Chinese rule
Lord, can the Tibetans ever be free?
There’s a longing in the hearts of Men
To see the end of Chinese rule,
To free Tibet from the overlords
Who have been so monstrously cruel.
There’s a yearning in our hearts and minds
To see Tibetans rule themselves,
But to undo the chains of oppression
The entire world has got to help:
We have to tell the Chinese
That it’s time to free Tibet,
But the day when the UN takes a stand
We won’t see for many years yet.
THE END
