DON-T LOOK AT ME

By Barry Green Jr

(DON'T) LOOK AT ME!;

You boast in your pride and arrogance

“Look at me!” You take a glorious stance

You claim you've achieved your greatness

But your boast are really rather tasteless

Don't look at me, I'm a broken man

I have no boast nothing that I can

Point to and say look how great I am

The weight of my sin can only condemn

I see you in the spotlight, your name raising

Laughing and joking your Glory your praising

Tell me if you're so high, where does God stand?

If you fall brah, where you gonna land?

Lord, have mercy on me, nothing but a sinner

Your Spirit is my drink, your Word my dinner

I can’t know at all, just what tomorrow brings

Today I'mjust gonna bow to the King of Kings

The arrogant man boasts of His great deeds

“Look at me!” is  Destruction's violent seeds

Tell you brah, you shall reap your reward

You boast in yourself and this deny your Lord

Please I pray, look right to His face

Seek now His Glory and His Grace

If you see me I'm pointing to the Lord

Testimony of Salvation, my eternal reward

Amen
