Fantasy World
By Callie Coleman
I live in a fantasy world,
a world where I was never shy,
I was never nervous there was no one teasing the confidence out of me.
I live in a fantasy world, where everything was okay
I did not make so many mistakes, there was no regrets in you and me.
Oh if only it were real.
If only I was that girl I always meant to be.
Maybe I would not be wondering what was real, what wasn’t, what life could be.
My stomach wouldn’t be where my heart is practically living.
But that’s not real life. I never pictured this is how I feel and where I’d be.
Fantasy worlds don’t exist, they don’t get you any further. My head knows this but somehow might heart is still yearning to finally see
how to go forward, and somehow maybe salvage of what life should’ve been and what it still could be.
Oh deep down inside I just wish I could live in my fantasy world where I was never shy, I was never nervous, there was no regrets in you and me.
FANTASY WORLD
By Sheryl Parker
The way you look tonight is a treasure to behold
And if you'd only hold me tight the story could unfold
The story of how I loved you true, a love to last for life
You'd bring me trinkets just for love and look at me and sigh
When I asked you what you thought, you'd say of only you because deep within this big ole heart I have only loved you true
To you I would bring the stars, each a gift of love,
And if you wanted them with all your heart- I would bring the moon and sun
I'd show you a love so hot that the fires would only rage
And your love would be the only water that would mellow out the flames
So take me as high as you can Love, until sanity can be no more
And let the fire take us away Dear, like waves against the shore
But, as the story comes to an end now, I hope you understand
This is just a world of fantasy, take it if you can.
