The Tree and the Cloud
By Knwal Awan
*The Tree and the Cloud*
When we plant the tree,
The clouds soar high with glee,
They dance around, so free,
Happy to see our garden grow,
And in their joy, they start to flow.
But when the tree is cut away,
The clouds no longer come to play,
The skies grow still, and dry,
As the rain forgets to fall from the sky.
With every tree we let fall,
The earth cries out, it hears the call,
For without the green to thrive,
The world can barely stay alive.
So let us plant, let us care,
For the clouds and rain that fill the air,
For every tree that stands so tall,
Keeps the sky and earth in balance, after all.
